The Office of Management and Budget is the newest extension of the Executive Branch. This office serves as a financial resource for Cabinet members, helps raise funds for the Executive Branch, manages finances for the Executive Branch, and works alongside the Undergraduate Treasurer as needed. This office is a part of the Executive Branch Cabinet and works closely with Co-Directors and the Executive Council.

Some of the priorities of the Office of Management and Budget are:

  1. Promoting Accessibility to UNC Career Services and Networking Opportunities: Collaborate with Career Services and other organizations on campus to organize and promote events that provide students with a chance to learn about different career fields, network, and develop the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the job or internship search and interview process. This will be achieved through workshops, career fairs, and programs available to students.
  1. Advocating for Financial Literacy Programs: Offer financial literacy resources and collaborate with clubs, organizations, and professors to discuss budgeting, managing student loans, creating a resume, and savings.
  1. Spreading Awareness about the Learning Resources on Campus: Increase awareness around campus about the learning resources and workshops available to students. For example, Career Services allows students to schedule appointments to prepare students for graduate school, write a resume, learn about the job application process, and practice for an upcoming interview. Additionally, students can utilize LinkedIn Learning to gain the necessary skills (like Excel) to succeed in their classes and future careers.
  1.  Enhancing Financial Accessibility for Students: Cooperate with the Financial Aid Office to help students learn about the scholarships, and financial support available for them. This collaboration can answer the questions students have.
  1. Encouraging Utilization of the Available Resources: Increase the efforts of informing students about the available programs on campus that provide resources like meals, necessities, and donations. This can ensure that students feel comfortable in the Carolina Community.
