First-Year Focus Council
The Martin Administration will improve the experience of the first-years on campus by engaging with various policy initiatives and hosting events. The First-Year Focus Council seeks to engage with first-years directly to ensure that their very first experience at Carolina is memorable. In order to do this the Administration understands that certain barriers must be removed and the First-Year Focus Council ultimately hopes to simplify certain processes that first-years must undertake, and provide opportunities specifically for its constituents.
Committee Goals for the 2019-2020 Academic Year
- Better integrate transfer students into the First Year Experience
- Execute programming to bolster first year experiences
