Sunhee Frecker
Director, Special Projects
Sunhee Frecker, Director of Special Projects, is a junior majoring in PWAD and Economics. She enjoys her role as Director of Special Projects because she loves having the opportunity to be at the forefront of many of the administration’s exciting initiatives. She enjoys having the opportunity to work on different projects and using her creativity. She travelled to Malaysia with the PWAD program this past summer.
Our Mission
The Special Projects office develops and implements innovative initiatives that respond to emerging student needs and campus challenges. We work across departments and task forces to bring creative solutions to complex problems affecting the student experience.

- Identifying and responding to emerging student needs
- Developing pilot programs for innovative solutions
- Coordinating cross-departmental initiatives
- Supporting presidential priorities through targeted projects
- Building partnerships with campus and community stakeholders
Current Projects
Special Projects currently manages several high-priority initiatives including campus accessibility improvements, student mental health support programs, and sustainability initiatives. Each project is designed to create lasting positive impact on the student experience.
