Our Vision for Carolina
The Alvarez-Fiore Administration was built on three foundational pillars: accessibility, affordability, and advocacy. This platform represents our commitment to transparent, student-centered leadership that addresses the real challenges facing undergraduate students at Carolina.
From expanding basic needs resources to strengthening academic support systems, every initiative outlined in this platform stems from direct conversations with students across campus. Our administration is dedicated to removing barriers, creating opportunities, and ensuring every student has the resources to thrive.

Basic Needs Security
Ensuring every student has access to essential resources including food, housing, professional attire, and emergency support through expanded programs like the Carolina Closet and enhanced food security initiatives.
Academic Excellence
Strengthening academic support systems through extended library hours, improved study spaces, enhanced tutoring services, and advocating for smaller class sizes and more accessible faculty engagement.
Mental Health Support
Expanding access to counseling services, reducing wait times, promoting comprehensive wellness resources, and destigmatizing mental health support across campus through proactive programming.
Campus Safety
Creating a secure environment through improved lighting, expanded late-night transportation, enhanced safety resources, and transparent communication about security concerns and responses.
Diversity & Inclusion
