Our Purpose
Our Mission
The Department of Civic Engagement is here to connect students with the issues, decisions, and communities shaping life at Carolina. Our goal is simple: make it easier for students to stay informed and take part in the conversations that matter.
At the campus level, we help facilitate engagement between students, the Alvarez Administration, the broader UNC administration, and the Town of Chapel Hill. Students at Carolina have never shied away from being engaged. Our work is to carry that energy forward.
